Clearwater Beach Weather – August 2023

The Clearwater Beach weather in August is a typical Florida summer. It can be hot, sunny, and rainy, all within the same day. The hot sun warms the air quickly, with highs reaching the upper 80°s and low 90°s. This means the ocean water stays very warm and in the upper 80°s. These high temperatures create summer thunderstorms. They usually don’t last long, but they can be strong. Please be careful and get out of the water, off the beach, and go inside if you see lightning or hear thunder. You will usually have beautiful mornings. As the air gets hot, you may see showers or storms build throughout the day. These storms usually clear up, and you’ll be back on the beach soon to enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Sunsets at Pier 60 Daily Festival Celebrate the beautiful Clearwater Beach sunsets daily on Pier 60. The festival starts two hours before sunset and stays open until two hours after sunset. The daily festival includes artisans, crafters, street performers, and a beautiful sunset view on Clearwater Beach.
