Clearwater Beach Souvenirs
When vacationing with us, you may want to bring back a Clearwater Beach souvenir to remember the great trip. Or maybe you’re looking for a gift to surprise family and friends with a fun gift. Here are some great places to buy Clearwater Beach Souvenirs starting with the classic dad comment “Bring me back some sand.”
Clearwater Beach Sand and Shells
Let’s start with the first question, is it legal to bring back sand from Clearwater Beach? I haven’t seen a specific ruling on this, but I believe the answer is no. It is not legal to bring sand back from the beach from the majority of coastal beaches in the United States. With that said, a very small amount of sand and shells is usually not a big deal for tourists to collect. Please check to make sure the shells do not have a live organism in them and aren’t a live organism itself such as starfish and sand dollars. You can also check the Clearwater Beach souvenir shops to find small containers of shells and sand that are already packaged and ready for purchase.
