Spring in Clearwater Beach (March – May)

Spring feels like Clearwater Beach is waking up. Temperatures are comfortable, the Gulf is warming nicely, and there’s a gentle buzz of activity without the full summer intensity – with the exception of a week or two for young families on Spring Break.
Weather & Beach Conditions
Daytime highs climb from the mid-70s in March to the mid-80s by May, with lows in the 50s–70s. Gulf water temperatures rise from the upper 60s to the upper 70s — perfect for longer swims and beach play as the season progresses.
Events & Things to Do
This is one of the most event-packed times of year. Catch Philadelphia Phillies Spring Training games at nearby BayCare Ballpark (typically late February through late March). The Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival (usually late March into mid-April) is a highlight — massive illuminated sand sculptures, live music, and family-friendly fun right on the beach. Other nearby draws include art festivals and music events in the broader Tampa Bay area.
Crowds, Atmosphere & Pricing
Moderate crowds, especially around spring break and training games. Availability and rates fluctuate around the popular spring break times each year.
Why Families & Snowbirds Love It
Great weather for beach days, park visits, and exploring without extreme heat. Many families time visits around school breaks or to combine beach time with spring training games. Snowbirds often extend stays into Spring because the weather is beautiful.
Our north Clearwater Beach condos are especially nice in spring — you get easy direct beach access and private balconies for morning coffee or sunset watching, plus plenty of space for snowbirds to extend winter into spring and have family come to visit for a short Spring Break trip.
Summer in Clearwater Beach (June – August)
Summer is classic family vacation season on Clearwater Beach. The energy is high, the water is at its warmest, and there’s always something happening.

Weather & Beach Conditions
Daytime highs hover around 90–91°F with lows in the mid-70s. Gulf water temperatures peak in the mid-80s (often 85–87°F in August) — ideal for all-day swimming, boogie boarding, and sandcastle building. Expect typical Florida afternoon thunderstorms; they usually pass quickly and cool things off nicely.
Events & Things to Do
July 4th brings fireworks and celebrations. Water sports such as parasailing, jet skis, and dolphin tours are in full swing. The nightly Sunsets at Pier 60 celebration runs all year, but summer adds extra vibrancy with street performers and vendors.
Crowds, Atmosphere & Pricing
This is peak season — expect more people on the sand and at popular spots. It’s lively and fun, especially if you love that classic bustling beach town feel. Book early! It’s peak season, and the condos do book up fast.
Why Families Love It
Perfect for families who want warm water and non-stop beach activities. Full kitchens in our condos are a lifesaver when you’re feeding a crew after long beach days and can also help with costs and quickly feeding hungry kids when restaurants are busy. The north end of Clearwater Beach, where our condos are located, tends to feel a bit quieter even during peak times, giving you a peaceful home base with direct beach access.
Fall in Clearwater Beach (September–November)
Fall is my personal favorite time on Clearwater Beach – specifically in October. The weather is simply wonderful — warm enough for beach days and swimming, but without the heavy summer humidity or crowds. And it has one of my personal favorite events – the Stone Crab Festival.

Weather & Beach Conditions
Highs range from the upper 80s in September down to the upper 70s by November, with lows in the 60s–70s. The Gulf stays beautifully warm (mid-70s to mid-80s) thanks to the long summer heat — often the best swimming of the year. Rain chances decrease as the season progresses.
Events & Things to Do
The Clearwater Jazz Holiday in mid-October is a major highlight — several days of fantastic live music. It’s also stone crab season, so you’ll find fresh local seafood at spots like Frenchy’s. The island feels relaxed and welcoming.
Crowds, Atmosphere & Pricing
Crowds thin out significantly after Labor Day, and you’ll often find better rates. It’s peaceful without feeling empty. While the overall Clearwater Beach area is quieter. It’s not just my personal favorite time of year; our beachfront condos do tend to book quickly through these months, even with it being a less crowded beach.
Why Families & Snowbirds Love It
Ideal temperatures for long beach walks, balcony time, and exploring without overheating. Many snowbirds arrive in the fall and stay through winter. Our quiet north Clearwater Beach location shines here — it’s especially peaceful when the rest of the island is winding down from summer, yet you’re still just a short walk or quick ride from great restaurants and the energy at Pier 60 when you want it.

Thanksgiving is a time for families to be together. If your family is spread out in different cities, consider a family Thanksgiving at the beach! It’s beautiful weather for the beach, the pools are heated, and the full kitchens in our beachfront condos make it a perfect place to cook your family’s favorite Thanksgiving meal! Just imagine having the Thanksgiving Day Parade on the condo’s large TV, a warm coffee on the beachfront balcony, and a day full of family fun at the beach and in the pool.
Winter in Clearwater Beach (December – February)
Winter brings that magical “warm escape” feeling. It’s milder and quieter, making it perfect for snowbirds who want to settle in comfortably.

Weather & Beach Conditions
Daytime highs are usually in the low-to-mid 70s, with cooler evenings in the 50s. Gulf water is at its coolest (around 64–69°F), so swimming is more of a refreshing dip than all-day sessions for most people. Beach walks and outdoor activities are still very enjoyable.
Events & Things to Do
Holiday lighted boat parades light up the waterways. Christmas markets, concerts, and festive events pop up around Clearwater and nearby communities. New Year’s Eve often features fireworks and celebrations near the beach and Pier 60 area.
You can also enjoy short drives to Tarpon Springs, Safety Harbor, and other surrounding communities to truly enjoy the whole area.

Crowd’s Atmosphere & Pricing
The quietest and most peaceful time, especially January and early February. It’s a true snowbird haven — relaxed and uncrowded.
Why Families & Snowbirds Love It
Many of our guests stay for a full month or more, with family visiting for long weekends. Heated pools at our condos make a big difference on cooler evenings. The north Clearwater Beach area feels especially calm and restorative, with direct beach access for morning walks and private balconies for enjoying the milder days. Full kitchens make it easy (and more affordable) to host family meals when everyone gathers.
